Learn to ‘paint with wool’. A rich palette of wool fibres and pre-felt (to needle felt straight onto) in a big bundle of beautiful colours. Enough for at least 3 pictures. Suitable for complete beginners and craft/needle felting enthusiasts.
A great way to get started needle felting your own pictures and, what better way than with a Herdwick sheep nestling in the glorious British Summer landscape.
You will find a detailed (printable) tutorial on the blog with lots of additional ideas for you to get creative with.
After the success of my own needle felted pictures and printed cards I have had many requests for a picture tutorial. I have selected my favourite landscape palette of wool using only the highest quality British and ethically sourced Corriedale.
My own pictures are just a guide to get you going and help build confidence. You can either follow it to the letter or be as creative as you wish.
The 14 colours I have selected will allow you to create any picture style and there is more than enough wool for at least 2 to 3 small (20cm x 20cm) needle felted pictures.
• Your painting with wool box will contain a 30cm x 30cm piece of natural Shetland pre-felt for you to needle felt directly onto.
• A handful of different colour curly locks to add detail.
Approx. 150g of the following wool colours in varying weights:
• Sky Blue Shetland
• Rainy Day Light Grey Swaledale
• White Jacob
• Moss Green Shetland
• Forest Green Shetland
• Corn Shetland
• Sunset Corriedale
• Heather Shetland
• Lilac Shetland
• Soft Grey Corriedale
• Brown Shetland
• Stone Grey
• Grey Jacob
Please note that wool and lock colours will vary slightly from time to time depending on availability but I will always use the closest colour match available.
Colours will also vary slightly from monitor to monitor.
Children must be supervised at all times and only suitable for 10 years and up.
